We recently ordered takeaway from Mumbai Local – Modern Indian Cuisine via Uber Pick Up, and the experience was fantastic. The food was absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. I ordered the Soya Chaap Curry, which was rich, well-spiced, and incredibly satisfying — perfect for anyone looking for a hearty vegetarian option with authentic Indian flavors. Portion size was good for 2 people. The naan breads were a standout as well — thin, soft, and cooked to perfection. They paired beautifully with the curry and showed great attention to detail in preparation. Even though it was a takeaway order, the quality and presentation of the food were excellent. Everything was still hot and fresh when we picked it up. If you’re visiting the area and craving flavorful Indian food, I’d definitely recommend Mumbai Local. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing a quick takeaway, the food promises to impress. I’m already looking forward to trying more from their menu!

Stopped by Mumbai Local to have dinner and enjoyed everything we tried. The ambiance is modern, however, the food is authentic and traditional. The staff was very polite and made sure to check on us multiple times. Our server Andy was great. He provided recommendations from the menu that worked out well for us. We started with paani puri which had the perfect flavors. As the restaurant is Mumbai-focused, they have many dishes from Malvani cuisine that is the cuisine from South Konkan region of India. I had never had this before at any restaurants so this was a unique experience. Of course, we had to try it and went with Malvani Chicken Curry which was really good. It had the tangy and sweet flavors in the curry. If I was to ever try making this dish myself, I would probably make it with Chicken Thigh and not breast. We also tried the Bhuna Gosht Lamb that was full of onion and tomato base flavors. Lamb meat was tender and soft. Even the naan was very soft and tasty. Overall, this was a perfect dinner to wrap up our Canadian Rockies trip. Thanks Mumbai Local team!

It was my first time trying the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Malvani Prawn Curry, and both dishes were a wonderful surprise. The chicken was tender, served in a creamy, spiced tomato sauce that was truly enjoyable. The prawn curry, made with a coconut base and bold Malvani spices, had a spicy and slightly tangy flavor that I really loved. The staff was very kind and attentive throughout our visit, which made the experience even better. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy authentic Indian cuisine in The Rocky Mountains with great service. I’ll definitely be back!

Food is very good. We are vegetarian and ordered 2 entrees, 4 garlic naan, rice. Vegetable quantity and quality is good. Naan is on a thinner and a smaller side compared to other Indian restaurant or perhaps we were just really hungry but usually we could never finish 4 naans. Staff is very accommodating. Offered us outside table if we didn’t wanted to wait. Which we took. We are from Michigan so didn’t mind slightly colder weather. Service was on the slower side because there were just too many people. It got better towards end of our meal.

The atmosphere was very pleasant. Staff were nice but I was challenged understanding our waiter. They hadn't received their liquor license and there weren't a lot of beverage options for me, sugared soda or tea. The onion bhakiya appetizer had little flavor and the sauce provided was good. The garlic naan had little garlic flavor compared to the plain naan. The malvani curry with chicken was delicious. The vegetarian dal tadka had no flavor and was not eaten. The price of lunch with water was very expensive for the lack of flavor.

The food was very nice and had authentic flavor of Mumbai. Our server ,Pranav gave us a recommendation of the paneer tika which was very tasty. The lights inside made it look very nice and cost especially in the cold.
